Locattion: Castlewood, SD

We are seeking a dedicated Arborist General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and caring for trees in various environments. Responsibilities include supporting certified arborists with tree pruning, removal, planting, and health assessments. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety protocols, and a passion for tree care.

Pay: $16 - $20 per hour, depending on experience. Possible Cash Bonuses available.

Hours: Mostly Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 6pm. We want your weekends to be free for your Family and Friends!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with tree pruning, trimming, and removal operations
• Operate and maintain tree care equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and pruners
• Safely remove tree debris and ensure clean-up of job sites
• Support in planting and transplanting trees
• Perform ground duties such as raking, clearing brush, and hauling limbs
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist arborists in assessing tree health and identifying potential hazards
• Learn and adhere to best practices in arboriculture

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in tree care or landscaping preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of tree care tools and equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
