This position is responsible for performing various tests and inspections for all aspects of construction in the field. This position is required to generate reports based on tests and inspections completed. The field technician position is also one of the primary representations for UES in the field. As such, it is vital that this individual be willing and able to work alongside construction crews. This individual should have a clean driving record and be able to communicate effectively with UES personnel as well as supervisors and employees representing the client and contractors in the field. Experience is not a necessity, but the ability to trouble-shoot, a positive attitude, and the drive to be a part of a winning team is a must!

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

You should be comfortable working outdoors in all temperatures on jobsites that are at varied stages of completion.
You should be comfortable driving in various traffic.
You should be available to work when our clients need us to work, at a variety of construction times including late night and early mornings.
You should be adaptable and able to have your schedule changed based on weather and need and not mapped out a week in advance.
You should enjoy working with your hands and have the ability to get dirty construction sites are not the cleanest places!
You should want to be a positive representation of UES in the field, this is a vital role that helps us maintain and secure future clients and work.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English. Ability to write reports and understand procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, contractors, engineers, and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic math such as subtraction, addition, and measurements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required but will train to achieve certificates in ACI, NICET, ICC, and TxDOT. ACI certification must be obtained as Field Technician within a reasonable amount of time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb and reach above shoulder. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, balance, jump, crawl, or kneel. There is repetitive use of hand and wrist along with forearm rotation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
