Head MS & JV Volleyball Coaches

Heathwood Episcopal Hall School seeks candidates for Head MS and JV Volleyball Coaches. This is a part-time, fall seasonal position. Previous experience coaching either 5th-8th or 8th-10th grade athletes is preferred. Responsibilities of the successful candidates will include the following:

• Work in partnership with the Head Varsity Coach to organize and oversee the volleyball program at Heathwood Hall.
• Develop/maintain the program with a culture encompassing mental and physical growth, team unity, healthy competition and an overall enjoyable experience for all.
• Teach and develop volleyball athletes' skills and understanding of the sport.
• Previous playing/coaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Develop an appropriate course of conditioning and individual goals for participating athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Create in-season practice plans and assist with pre-season training.
• Models and instills values of sportsmanship to all participants.
• Attends all student-athlete practices and games and provides appropriate supervision of students at all practices, games, and on school-provided transportation.
• Maintains appropriate professional communication channels with parents, students, Athletic Director, and staff, including but not limited to the facilities and custodial staff, and officials.
