Job Title: Shipper/Receiver (NARA II)
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Shipper/Receiver in College Park, MD. This position will work in the Warehouse and perform tasks associate with warehouse operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine method of Shipping material.
- Receiving material and checking for shipping damages, inventory, and storage.
- Receiving and shipping merchandise in an orderly and timely fashion.
- Assembling containers/crates and packing goods to be shipped.
- Marking and labeling stock, performing inventories, issuing parts and materials.
- Operating a forklift and pallet jacks.
- Documenting deliveries/shipments with computer software.
- Ordering parts and materials, managing inventory in a computer database.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is clean and in order.
- Staging material for specific projects.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Prior experience with warehousing software/computer systems.
Physical Demands:
- Heavy lifting, stooping, and bending.
