FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN (SPECIAL HAZARDS)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician , based in Ohio with the ability to travel throughout the state and surrounding area. As our company continues to expand, we want you to grow and develop with us!

You Are:

  • KNOWLEDGEABLE: High school diploma or equivalent; Understanding of NFPA standards and state and local building and fire codes
  • EXPERIENCED: Previous Fire Alarm Technician or other electrical experience required
  • TECHNICAL: Experience utilizing equipment used to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems; Ability to read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings; Intermediate MS Office and excel skills
  • FLEXIBLE: Travel to client sites regularly throughout Ohio
  • A SELF-STARTER: Learn quickly and use your resources to be successful in your role
  • ANALYTICAL: Ability to read and understand technical information, analyze, think critically, and problem-solve

What You’ll Do:

  • SERVICE & INSTALL: Assemble panels and build panel programs; Diagnose electrical issues and system failures to identify equipment necessary for repairs; Inspect fire alarm systems; Install electrical system components
  • KEEP TO CODE: Ensure that projects are compliant with local, state, federal, and district codes, regulations, and specifications
  • PUT SAFETY FIRST: Adhere to OSHA, customer, and safety protocols while on site; utilize safety best practices when lifting, moving, or pushing heavy materials and while climbing, balancing, and maneuvering on the job site
  • COMMUNICATE: Provide thorough and timely information to clients; Communicate status of work orders to supervisors and other office staff
  • COLLABORATE: Coordinate with project Foreman and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently; Maintain positive working relationships with field and office staff
