****About the Role:****

The R&D Bakery Lab Coordinator will lead the production of rapid benchtop protypes in partnership with the R&D team using a variety of lab equipment and act as subject matter expert for bakery, pastry, and chocolate benchtop development.

This individual will also manage the Maywood R&D lab inclusive of ingredient and warehouse inventory management, preventive equipment maintenance, cleaning and sanitization of equipment, and ensuring lab safety and GMPs.

****Main Responsibilities:****

* Ingredient inventory management with independent ingredient ordering, organization, and maintenance

* Warehouse inventory management and pallet tracking

* Preventive equipment maintenance

* Lead on R&D lab cleanliness and safety

* Capture and report data in Microsoft Excel as needed

* Provide sample packaging and shipping for product developers and engineers as needed

* Small to mid-scale bakery equipment operation

* Analytical equipment operation and ability to take clear photos on lab camera

****Who we are looking for:****

* Minimum 8 years experience as Lab Technician or Pastry Chef

* Minimum diploma/certificate, bachelors degree or equivalent preferred but not required

* Extremely skilled in bakery/pastry benchtop production

* Knowledge of ingredient functionality

* Proficient in email and written communication

* Familiarity with industrial food operations a plus

* Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

* SAP familiarity a plus but not required
