POSITION SUMMARY: A leadership role within the Warehouse that will lead and direct warehouse staff. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with management to ensure all warehouse concepts, practices and procedures are followed to support department goals and objectives within warehouse operations. This position will need to lead by example, while having responsibility for but not limited to daily activities within receiving/shipping/material handlers/inventory consolidating, etc.
POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate daily activities for Warehouse personnel.
  • Follow management directives and communicate issues.
  • Review Warehouse information, review demand and staff accordingly.
  • Lead Warehouse projects pertaining to SAP/RF Gen to improve efficiencies.
  • Resolve issues by presenting various alternatives to management for departmental improvements. Assist with projects as necessary to implement these changes.
  • Control cycle counting process in warehouse areas by working closely with management to improve inventory accuracy and movements.
  • Provide and or coordinate training for Team Members and assist in the continuous development of the departmental training program.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to challenge current processes and take ownership approach to completion.
  • Conducts Departmental Safety Meetings as required. Ensures that all Team Members follow company safety policies, work rules, S.O.P.s.
  • Prepare requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Follow process flow timeline to meet carrier cut-off times.
  • Work directly with IT when issues arise to solve problems that can affect business needs and communicate accordingly.
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed (i.e. forklift, stand -ups, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Work overtime as needed to support business needs.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise direct reports and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all employee's. Have supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and resolving problems.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma, GED or professional experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in Logistics Distribution
  • Skilled with SAP/RF Gen transactions
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and Team building skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word/Excel/Access)
