Upper School Spanish Language Teacher (2024-25 School Year)
Porter-Gaud is an Episcopal, coeducational day school serving more than 1,000 students in grades 1-12. The O'Quinn Schools of Porter-Gaud serve an additional 600 preschool students from age two through kindergarten. The School is seeking a full-time Upper School Spanish Language Teacher beginning with the 2024- 25 school year. Our Upper School division is composed of grades 9 through 12.
The Upper School Spanish Language Teacher will be responsible for instructing Upper School students in Spanish in accordance with the content and objectives of the curriculum prescribed by the Upper School division. The successful candidate must not only be highly proficient in the target language but should evidence knowledge of the developmental level of Upper School students and their needs. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for working with adolescents and encourage them to grow in their knowledge and proficiency. This Upper School Spanish teacher will supervise students in academic classes and an advisory and will also supervise students in numerous extra- and co-curricular activities of the school. This Teacher will demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of all Porter-Gaud students and to the best interests of the school as a whole.

Reporting: The Upper School Spanish teacher will report directly to the Head of the Upper School and will take direction from the World Language Department Chair.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
