Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems and components. Assists with troubleshooting and corrective issues with systems. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Constant lifting, five (5) to twenty (20) pounds

* Occasional lifting over fifty (50) pounds

* Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

We are looking to hire one Life Safety Systems Specialist. Dependent upon qualifications, we have Level I, II, III available. The compensation range for new hire candidates for each are as follows:

Life Safety System Specialist I: $18.64 to $24.065

Life Safety System Specialist II: $20.48 to $25.60

Life Safety System Specialist III: $23.60 to $30.74

Responsibilities:

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Work with electrical, maintenance contractors, and Douglas County School District Construction departments.

Make recommendations on purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.

Maintain necessary records and reports.

Coordinate maintenance and inspection activities with other trades and school staff.

Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire alarms, signal equipment, and sprinkler systems.

Certifications:
