Senior Project Engineer, Hydrogen VFS

**_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be_**
Responsible for projects related to Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems
Lead regulatory compliance initiatives, related to Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems and related components
Support for product design and documentation for Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems
Supports changes via the Engineering Change Request process
Support interdepartmental teams to evaluate manufacturability of products, improve production efficiency, assess tooling requirements, and estimating labor/material
Work with interdepartmental teams to ensure continuous compliance to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
Involvement in relevant standard organizations (ISO, NFPA, SAE, etc)
Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
Follow the 5-Phase release process for new product introduction (ie: APQP)
Define and communicate product/component specifications to suppliers for new products or special customer projects
Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
**_Your Education Should Be_**
BS degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
**_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require_**
Frequent standing, sitting, and walking,
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional heavier lifting
Frequent computer work.
Hands on to include working on different types of trucks
**_Your Professional Experience Should Be_**
**Experience**
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience in the Heavy Truck, Automotive Industry as an OEM supplier or OEM manufacturer
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivate self-starter and a team player
Customer service orientation
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Pak, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Exposure to JD Edwards or similar manufacturing software
Basic understanding of Cryogenic Liquids and their properties
Understanding of heat transfer and vacuum insulation
Heavy Truck, automotive or diesel engine experience as related to fuel delivery and electrical systems a plus
Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc a plus
