**Job Summary**

CRISPR Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our Non-viral Delivery team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The incumbent will be responsible for the synthesis and analysis of oligonucleotides to support the generation of guide RNAs with novel chemistries. This position will support therapeutic programs in multiple disease areas and will contribute to the development of a novel nucleic acid conjugation platform. Prior experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and characterization is desired.

**Responsibilities**

* Synthesis, deprotection, purification, annealing and lyophilization of oligonucleotides to support all therapeutic areas

* Analytical characterization of the oligonucleotides for purity determination and impurity profiling

* Support of new chemistry discovery for the development of a novel oligonucleotide conjugation platform

* Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab instruments, including oligonucleotide synthesizers, purification systems, and HPLC and LC-MS systems

* Maintenance of an accurate and up-to-date record of experiments and results in the form of ELN entries and written reports

* Communication of key findings in group and cross-functional team meetings

* Contribution to regulatory and IP filings

* Performance of laboratory work in safe, efficient manner that ensures a safe working environment for all colleagues

**Minimum Qualifications**

* MS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related field, or BS degree in a similar field and 3 years of relevant experience

* Working knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and familiarity with oligonucleotide synthesis, deprotection and purification techniques

* Experience with bioanalytical techniques, such as RP-UPLC, SAX-HPLC, and LC-MS, as well as data interpretation

* An educators mindset with a willingness to invest in communication with scientists and senior leaders, and a passion scientific engagement with colleagues

* A learners mindset with a commitment to personal growth and a drive to broaden technical skills and scientific knowledge

* An ability to think strategically, efficiently manage time and workflows, and work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

* An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Hands-on experience with LC-MS

* Prior experience with oligonucleotide synthesizers
