Cross Resource Group is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Burlington, NC
Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of various mechanical and electrical systems within our facility. This includes air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, ammonia systems, chillers, mechanical piping, and basic electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, ammonia systems, and chillers.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical piping systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all facility equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair basic electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation of all equipment.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in maintaining and repairing air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, ammonia systems, and chillers.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various conditions including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures.
