KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a premier publicly traded life sciences company near Woburn, MA who is seeking to hire a Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team. This position is brand new, open due to growth as the company is rapidly growing and is looking to expand their accounting team to support financial operations. The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting the Controller with managing all financial reporting and operational accounting, ensuring compliance under both SOX and GAAP guidelines.
Ideal candidate for this position will possess a public/private mix working in life sciences, bio-tech, pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing. CPA is highly preferred but not required. This is a hybrid friendly position requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in office. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in executing all month-end close activities efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations, and review those prepared by the Senior Staff Accountant.
• Ensure accurate and timely inventory accounting, overseeing receipts and capitalizing appropriate costs.
• Reconcile inventory details to the general ledger monthly, with support from the Supply Chain team.
• Record inventory transactions for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), samples, and free goods activity.
• Assist the Controller with the annual audit and quarterly review processes.
• Maintain fixed assets in the ERP system and manage depreciation schedules.
• Handle monthly lease accounting entries.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and manage special projects as required.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and review of financial policies to ensure compliance with SOX, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Train, supervise, and mentor junior staff within the Finance department.
• Continuously improve systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions when necessary.

Required Expertise And Competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with public accounting experience preferred.
• 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in the general ledger function and the month-end close process, including account reconciliations.
• Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX compliance
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial software, and ERP software (NetSuite preferred).

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 annually, plus bonus and stock options
