Next Level Talent is Hiring a Maintenance Director Near Brooklyn, NY
We have partnered with an affordable housing developer in Brooklyn seeking a strong Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of a 1500 unit portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintenance management, industrial equipment, and facilities management.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with on-site operations team to implement and maintain preventative maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems including sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and alarm systems in conjunction with on-site maintenance teams.
- Oversee the coordination of repairs and maintenance in units and common areas, including make readies and on the spot repairs.
- Ensure exteriors are maintained including landscaping, garbage and snow removal, and coordinate any exterior work that is needed.
- Develop and oversee staffing schedules with Supers, ensuring adequate maintenance personnel coverage is scheduled at all times.
- Manage maintenance and repair budgets with leadership.
- Prepare and facilitate any agency property inspections.
- Maintain inventory for all supplies, parts, and equipment and ensure all maintenance records are accurate.
- Conduct trainings and department meetings with maintenance teams, and attend any required management-wide trainings, and staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 10 years in apartment maintenance, with at least 3 years overseeing 700 units or more in a supervisory role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance
- Proficiency in facilities management practices
- Ability to work with high voltage systems safely
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
