The PEHT Residential Advisor (RA) role is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the PEHT home residents through the implementation and monitoring of the healing environment at the PEHT home in collaboration with the PEHT team. The RA is responsible for the daily emotional and psychological safety of the residents and supports the residents in meeting their healing and emotional goals. The RA is to communicate and support all residents in a trauma informed manner. The RA will facilitate life skills groups that cover such topics as emotional management, how to adjust their independent living skills in order to return to the community after completion of the PEHT home, as well as develop a monthly activity calendar with the LRA. The RA works closely with the LRA to support the residents in meeting their individual goals through helping residents fill out applications or benefit/vital record paperwork as needed.
