The Process Dev Engineering Scientific Associate will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell-based products and combination products. This lab-based role focuses on formulation development and aseptic fill-finish operations for cell therapy programs.

This is a contract role that will go till end of 2024, with chance to extend.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts experiments supporting the development of drug product processes for cell therapy programs
• Supports technology transfer to CMO and provides manufacturing support for GMP production
• Utilizes understanding of principles of cell biology techniques when troubleshooting typical problems
• Applies statistical principles to guide process optimization
• Conducts experiments, characterization and data analyses in support of process characterization and improvement
• Authors study protocols, reports, and other technical documents
• Works within departmental teams, supports deliverables and participates in team discussion on issue resolution.
• Periodic weekend work required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experienced in aseptic mammalian cell culture, suspension cell culture
• Hands-on experience with typical cell processing equipment used in cell therapy manufacturing

• Direct experience with process development in a biopharmaceutical setting
• Good communication skills to convey technical/scientific information

• Effective at working as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required
• Typically requires 0-2 years experience with a Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience

$30 - $32/HR
