Position Summary: Our well established, high performing team is currently looking to add to our team structure a skilled and experienced financial advisor for the Treasure Valley area. This position provides support to Westmark Credit Union’s existing member base providing investment products and services. Become a key player on our value driven team. Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Meet with new and existing clients to build a book of business, grow relationships, assess their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences
• Provide personalized financial advice and recommendations tailored to clients’ needs by positioning products, services, and strategies to help clients gain financial clarity
• Portfolio Management: design and implement investment strategies for clients’ managed accounts, including asset allocation, investment selection, and risk management
• Submit monthly reports as required on time
• Work in each branch as regularly scheduled
• Maintain Operational policies and meet regulatory compliance requirements
• Maintain good relationships with key personnel at each branch and conduct branch training and educational meetings as necessary
• Attend WCU meetings as assigned.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned by VP/Investment Services Manager

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of Westmark’s products and services and regulations
• Administrative, leadership, and proactive sales skills
• Must possess a high level of self motivation

Minimum Qualifications:

• AA or AS degree, BA or BS preferred
• Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, life and disability insurance licenses preferred
• Proven track record and experience in sales
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the financial services industry, financial planning and stock trades
