Math Teacher
Private High-school Focused on Classical Christian Education
Teaching Certificate NOT Required, BA in Science, Math, or related field and/or personal study strongly preferred.
Description:
A science teacher will teach one or two classes of a Science Course, such as Biology, Physics, or Chemistry. Math classes include Algebra I or Algebra II. Our school looks to include lecture, discussion, and creative activity in every class period; teachers should help students engage with the Great Conversation as a part of the Classical Tradition. We also share a faith-based foundation as a world-view.
Availability:
The class will held M / W / F during a 1-hour block. Weekly teacher meetings on Mondays during lunch hour will also be required, as well as some teacher in-service days and availability for parent-teacher conferences. Time commitment outside of class time requires a 1-hour prep session on a regular basis; usually on Tues / Thurs.
Text books supplied, although teachers at times may want to expand or explore other topics within the discipline.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
