Occupational Assistant Therapist - PEDIATRICS (HOME HEALTH)
Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting patient assessments and gathering relevant information
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring and documenting progress during treatment sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop and modify individualized treatment plans
- Instruct patients in prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities
- Assist in the fabrication and fitting of adaptive equipment and devices
- Communicate effectively with families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress
Requirements
- Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow directions from Occupational Therapists
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
License/Certification:
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required)
Willingness to travel:
- 75% (Required)
