Pay rate: $40-60/hr with flexibility

Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as an industrial plants or industrial maintenance electrical engineering
- Comfortable supporting 480V, 4160V and 13,800V industrial systems
Nice to Have:
- Experienced using SAP Maintenance and Microsoft Office Suite
Day to Day:
Insight Global is hiring an Electrical Inspection Project Engineer to join our chemical manufacturing client 100% onsite in Blair, Nebraska. This person will join a team to support a scheduled outage. This person will serve as a point of contact and coordinate activities between the electrical utility provider, contract inspection and testing contractor, contracted electricians, and the owners’ staff. Inspection and testing services have been fully scoped and awarded. This position is coordinating work once it begins as the projects and timeline are already defined; this role is executing the plan, overseeing the teams, and assisting with technical electrical engineering as needed. Start date would be July 15, 2024, possibly remotely, with onsite presence by August 15th, 2024, through the duration of the outage.
Electrical Outage Coordination
- Review and become SME on specific electrical inspection & testing scope of work during the outage.
- Serve as point of contact between electrical utility provider and owner with respect to electrical outage.
- Review switching and back feeding procedures and provide edits as needed.
- Ensure scope of work and work plan is followed by inspection/testing and electrical contractors.
- Coordinate transformer back feed activities between owner and electrical contractors.
- Communicate daily work progress updates of relevant electrical inspection, testing, and repair work to the shutdown management team.
Working Conditions
- Work will occur in an office and chemical plant process area.
- Involves the use of office equipment, i.e. computers, printers, copiers, phones
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, following safety and ergonomic guidelines
