South Carolina Department of Mental Health is Hiring a School Based Mental Health Clinician Near Beaufort, SC
Provides consultation/education activities and case management on behalf of our consumers to community agencies as requested, under the supervision of the Clinic Director and the CAF Coordinator.
Participates in weekly team staffings with other mental health professionals, as well as attend and participate in CAF staffings as scheduled.
Provides consultation and assists in coordination of hospital admissions and placement of children and adolescents. Provides follow-up after discharge.
Participates in school related activities such as PTO’s, classroom presentations, and other extra-curricula-related activities in support of client (student) relations.
Other: Provides other related duties and limited consultation/educational activities in the community upon request and approval by supervisor.
Corporate Compliance: Demonstrates thorough understanding of corporate compliance issues and complies with all DMH and Center corporate compliance requirements.
Coastal Empire CMHC is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000.00 to employees of NHSC - approved sites. You must be a US Citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two year service commitment required as well. Confirmation of qualifying for this loan repayment program is the responsibility of every applicant - we cannot guarantee your qualification. Minimum And Additional Requirements STATE REQUIREMENT: Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
