Jim Shorkey Family Auto Group is Hiring a Parts Advisor Near Bakerstown, PA

The Parts Advisor is responsible for Inventory accuracy, parts locations, and organization of materials throughout the dealership. Responsible for planning, execution of company goals and performance metrics.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts, not in stock.
  • Complete special-order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
  • Oversee the automotive parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.
  • Process daily Chevy parts order with CDK scanner
  • Pull parts orders for technician and counter people.
  • Inventory and Stocking
  • Managing stock
  • Answering phones
  • Parts lookup
  • Disbursing parts to technicians
  • Waiting on retail customers
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Develop and oversee procedures for the movement of inventory throughout the facility
  • Awareness and resolution of receiving and inventory inaccuracies
  • Develop and oversee inventory cycle counting
  • Create SOP's and work instructions for all job functions in Inventory and Receiving
  • Direct and oversee physical inventory counts
  • Lead and direct the Inventory, International and Domestic Receiving departments
  • Follow processes and update documents for 100% accuracy
  • Oversee processes. Return goods in/outbound
  • Provide information to Senior Management for executive planning purposes
  • Oversee the improvement of parts and warehouse bin locations
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement principles
Requirements

  • Must be over 18
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Knowledge and understanding of inventory
  • Knowledge and understanding of receiving
  • MS Office skills.
  • Attention to details
  • Good communication
  • Organization
  • General computer
  • Good math skills
  • Be committed to 100% customer satisfaction
  • Possess phone skills for both employee and customer interactions
  • Have basic computer skills. Training will be provided for necessary programs
  • Direct Parts Experience and/or Customer Service experience is preferred, but not required

  • Detailed Oriented
