Senior Property - Casualty Commercial Underwriter Hybrid
Our client, a large Insurance Co, has a need for a Senior Property - Casualty Commercial Underwriter in Austin, TX. The Senior Property - Casualty Commercial Underwriter will third-party underwriting services and be responsible for performing captive underwriting comprised of property/casualty including workers compensation lines of business with account premiums ranging from $25,000 - $2,000,000 in premium. This is a W-2 position. No C2C Candidates Permitted with our client.

Essential Responsibilities:
Evaluates the risks and exposures associated with underwriting a book of business including developing new and renewal business quote proposals, developing loss picks, maintaining logs
Preparing premium finance agreements, reviewing audits, working with internal accounting and captive management teams for billing & collections of premiums, providing summaries & projections of payroll reports
Accurately performing exposure-based analysis using carrier rating models, submitting documents, communicating and negotiating pricing and coverages with carrier underwriters and communicating and supporting those decisions to brokers, carrier underwriters and ARS Management.
Assists in the development and administration of complex underwriting rules and guidelines.
Develops and maintains strong external/internal customer relationships by identifying, anticipating business needs and by delivering timely responses to captive customers, brokers and ARS managers; assists business development with marketing information, presentations and related activities.
Education and Experience:
Min. 6-10 yrs Commercial Insurance Underwriting Experience public entity preferred
Bachelor's degree in insurance or finance from an accredited college or university preferred.
TX P&C license required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Licensing.
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI), Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI) and/or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) courses
Property Casualty License
Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position
