We are seeking Material Handlers to join our team in Doswell!

Must be able to train during the day

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 11PM-7AM

Essential Job Functions:

• Staging rolls for machines using the posted schedule so the operators can stay rewinding.
• Cutting all of the cores for the orders in the schedule. Ensuring all cores are correct with notches if needed and core plugs.
• Packaging of all finished material of the machine per the spec, including any required stenciling. Ensuring that all finished goods get weighed and tagged with a finished goods tag and put away in the correct location.
• Operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Staging material for the following shift so the next shift can come in and keep running.
• Helping to maintain organization and finished goods in the warehouse. Monitoring finished goods material for damage and defects prior to shipment.
• Maintaining an orderly inventory of rolls to be rewound and bringing rolls over from one area to another to be rewound.
• Housekeeping in areas and others as needed.
• Keep accurate and complete logs, manifests, and other records.
• Neatly returning material to the warehouse and moving material.
• Learning the operation to provide relief as needed and possible future position.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year operating or assisting with heavy machinery.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to manipulate products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Night shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Ashland, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
