We are a leading commercial contractor in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area working alongside our clients to deliver on their goals and creating solid buildings and relationships. We handle design-build and ground up construction and operated for over 20 years providing the highest quality construction taking it across every phase from planning to completion.
As our company continues to grow and expand both in size and number of active projects we are looking to bring on a Construction Superintendent with a background in Commercial or Industrial building types to join our rapidly growing organization.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage daily activity on job sites and oversee subcontractor and vendor scopes of work to ensure they are properly documented
- Order materials and ensure that deliveries are meeting deadlines to keep construction process moving smoothly
- Collaborate with Project Managers and company leadership to ensure each project is meeting milestones
- Coordinate job site inspections with various agencies and perform job site walks regularly
- Ensure project close outs are handled completely and sent off to Owner
The Construction Superintendent must have 5 years experience acting in a Superintendent role and be familiar with:
- Proven history of completing projects in various Commercial or Industrial properties
- Experience overseeing Ground Up construction as well as T.I./Renovation projects
- Knowledge of project documentation methods (RFIs, Change Orders, Submittals, etc.)
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Preparing Change Order documents for Subcontractors and Owners
- Experience with handling vendor and subcontractor relationships
