The position is full-time and on-site at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Butler in Okinawa, Japan. The GIS Analyst is responsible for providing geospatial assistance that will support the maintenance of an Enterprise GIS. The candidate will support data development, field data collection, SDSFIE standards integration, and quality verification processes. They will assist in maintaining geospatial data in an enterprise GIS implementation, aid in the maintenance of the geodatabase, and apply technical and programmatic knowledge of GIS.

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:

• US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or IT related field
• 2 years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solutions
• Experience with Esri Software Applications and spatial analysis including network analysis and 3D analysis
• Experience and knowledge in the implementation of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) and preferably USMC GIS Data Model.
• Experience with GIS data development in a multi-user/enterprise environment
• Knowledge of relational database concepts.
• Experience with Python. (Preferred)
• Experience with DoD IGI&S Programs. (Preferred)
• Able and willing to perform fieldwork and travel via military transportation.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.

• Experience with Enterprise Data Models
• Experience with the IGI&S Programs
• Experience with Trimble's resource/mapping and survey grade GPS solutions
• Experienced with SDSFIE.
• Experienced in Military environments.
