Child Psychologist (PhD, PsyD)

Oklahoma Pediatric Therapy Center is actively looking to hire a talented Licensed Psychologist, who is passionate about patient care and committed to clinical excellence. OPTC serves children with a wide range of pediatric developmental disabilities ages 2 through 18 years of age.

OPTC is a multidisciplinary clinic (Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health) located in Yukon, Oklahoma City, and El Reno, Oklahoma. OPTC began providing behavioral health services in 2017 and has a diverse team of providers including licensed psychologists, board certified behavior analysts, and licensed professional counselors. OPTC offers a range of psychological services including Comprehensive Psychological Assessment, Behavioral Parent Training and Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, and Counseling. OPTC is committed to providing the highest quality, ethical, and evidence-based services to our communities.

OPTC is also a proud member of the Oklahoma Private Practice Internship Consortium (OPPIC). OPPIC has been an APPIC Member since 2020 and recently completed their Site Visit for APA Accreditation of their Doctoral Internship Program. OPTC has been committed to training since 2020 when they accepted their first doctoral intern. OPTC continues its valuable partnership with Oklahoma City University, PsyD Program and Oklahoma State University School Psychology Program to train doctoral practicum students. OPTC is committed to continue training the future generation of psychologists, mentorship of early career professionals, and ultimately improving access to care.

We are seeking a licensed child-focused Psychologist/Neuropsychologist (PhD or PsyD) for a full- or part-time position in Yukon or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Clinician’s have flexible scheduling options with the option to focus on assessment, therapy, or a combination of therapy and assessment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provision of ethical and evidence based psychological services including conducting comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and case management.
  • Clinicians are expected to work with the scheduling team to maintain a full caseload.
  • Provision of clinical supervision to doctoral practicum, doctoral intern, and post-doctoral fellows.
  • Assisting the Training Director in coordinating, organizing, and supervising trainees.
  • Assist the Training Director in annual training and onboarding of new training cohorts.
  • Attend bi-monthly manager meetings and weekly group supervision meetings.
  • Conduct weekly individual supervision of assigned trainees.
  • Participate in OPPIC Group Supervision and Didactic training activities.
  • Review supervisees’ documentation, reports, and billing taking responsibility for supervising ethical and evidence-based clinical activities.
  • Clinicians are expected to exhibit strong written language abilities in order to write clear, detailed reports using professional language and proper grammar, structure, syntax, and formatting.
  • Clinicians are expected to demonstrate a positive, strengths-based attitude of teamwork and shared leadership.
  • Clinicians are expected to document services to ensure services are clinically necessary and effective.
  • Clinicians are expected to accurately document within outlined time frames.
  • Compliance with Oklahoma licensing board rules and APA Code of Ethics

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is a base of $85,000 - $90,000 with additional bonus options for supervision activities. Pay is based on a number of variables including case load, supervision, and prior experience.

Requirements:

  • Fully licensed in Oklahoma or license-eligible at the doctoral level.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA accredited academic program.
  • Supervised experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Experience providing neurodevelopmental assessments and/or therapy to children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Knowledge of essential cognitive and psychological assessment batteries.
  • Willingness to work within the private practice setting and collaborate with training partner agencies through OPPIC.
  • Self-motivated and independent clinical skills.
  • Interest in providing individual and group supervision to doctoral practicum, doctoral intern, and post-doctoral fellows.
  • Experience with managing an individual case load, documentation, and comprehensive report writing.
