VCA Yucca Valley Animal Hospital in the beautiful Hi-Desert next to Joshua Tree CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are dedicated to delivering high quality patient care to companion and exotic pets in the Hi-Desert above Palm Springs.

We are a fast paced 6 doctor general practice with urgent care. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to help complete our healthcare team!

Your mission is to provide an excellent client experience and deliver exceptional patient care. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to :

• All aspects of patient care
• Physical patient assessment
• Animal handling and restraint
• IM, IV, SQ injections
• Nursing care / hospitalization treatments
• Client communication
• Pharmacy
• Laboratory work
• Hands Free Digital Radiography
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dental cleanings / dental radiography
• Patient Recovery
