Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing resources, budgets, schedules, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Development:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
    • Define project goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  2. Project Execution and Supervision:
    • Oversee all aspects of construction project management, from initial planning through to completion.
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
    • Review work progress on a daily basis.
  3. Resource Management:
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
    • Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Ensure necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
  4. Quality Control and Safety:
    • Implement and enforce quality control standards and safety regulations on site.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
    • Address any issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
  5. Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and documentation.
    • Facilitate meetings to resolve issues and coordinate project activities.
  6. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Develop contingency plans to manage and resolve project challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, RedTeam).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and inspect construction sites.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with regular visits to construction sites.
  • Full-time position with potential for overtime based on project demands.
  • May require occasional travel to various project locations.
