Position: RN MedSurg

Location: 2811 Tieton Dr, Yakima, WA 98902

Shift: 12-hour Night shifts with EOW

Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension

Pay: $65- $70/hr

OT: Time and a Half (1.5x)

Must have 1 years of RN MedSurg experience

RN WA License

BLS certification

Job Description:

Patient Types:

ESRD, Dialysis patients, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, PNA, COVID, UTI, CHF, AMS, ETOH, SBO, Osteomyelitis, electrolyte abnormalities with remote monitoring, post op. patients, end of life care

Patient Ratios:

Day shift: 1:4-5

Night shift: 1:5-6

Support on the Unit:

CNA (Ratio:) 1:7 on day shift, 1:8-9 on night shift

Receptionist/HUC-Day shift only

Charge nurse: Without patient assignment on Days; partial patient assignment on Nights

Phlebotomy? Yes

IV/VAT Team? Yes until 2300

Hospitalist? Yes

Telemetry monitoring tech? Are RNs required to read/measure tele strips? Telemetry techs, RN’s are not required to read and measure strips.

Technology/Equipment:

EMR: Cerner

IV pumps: Plum

Medication dispensing: Omnicell

Monitors:

Floating: If yes, where?

To other Medsurg Units

Orientation (#hrs/shifts):

Hospital NEO to include Cerner training

1-2 shifts on the unit with a preceptor

Scheduling:

Weekend rotation: yes (Every Other?)

On call? If so, what is that schedule? No

Holiday Expectations: Yes as needed

Approval of time off? No, Text or call NM for all RTO

Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf?

Shift times: 7pm to 730am
