Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for organizing the receipt, storage and dispatch of warehoused goods. Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, the warehouse supervisor manages people, processes and systems, to ensure goods are received and dispatched / deployed appropriately and productivity targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations to achieve productivity, costs, quality and safety goals
- Analyze data and prioritize work assignments to direct the daily plan of action for the shift or functional area
- Coach, motivate, develop and manage warehouse associates
- Manage value-added projects assigned to shift
- Foster a participative and goal-driven work environment characterized by teamwork, partnership and accountability for achieving goals
- Ensure inventory control systems are up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- General housekeeping and specific sanitation task are also required.
- Responsible for reporting all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Enforces plant GMP’s and Food Safety policies/procedures
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- 3-5 Years of Supervisory Experience in Related Field Required
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Knowledge of Warehouse Information Systems Required
- Basic Computer Software Skills Required
- Forklift License Certification Required
- Reading/Math Comprehension Abilities
- Good Communication Skills, Both Oral & Written
- Attention to Detail & Capability to Work Independently
- Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly by using data to analyze root cause
- Decision Making Abilities and Handling of Multiple Priorities
- Ability to be Entrusted with Confidential Information and Materials
