Job summary
This position is responsible for loading and shipping hopper trucks, unloading incoming hopper trucks into silos, railcars, and container boxes or the compounding pack-outs, loading overseas containers from silos or railcars and performing material transfers.
Summary of essential job functions
Apply and process Rail Car Identification Tags for outbound truck shipments.
Perform trailer inspections to determine cleanliness, damage and roadworthiness.
Fully comply with all contamination control procedures
Complete trailer vacuum loading procedures and use dense phase unloading techniques in the trailer off loading process.
Perform unsupervised off site rail car off loading requirements and procedures as needed.
Maintain practical knowledge of steps and inspection requirements necessary to perform a clean, dry and odor free dry bulk container tank wash.
Properly use trailer document holders.
General knowledge of the methodology and terminology used in the industry to understand the types of products and their handling properties.
Complete silo evacuations when necessary.
Perform reloading and blow-back procedures to remove excess product when required.
Load drop and spot load trailers Maximize truckload weights within legal limits Maintain communication with guardhouse, traffic and rail coordinators and CSR&s regarding all aspects of loading and shipping to ensure quality and timely deliveries
Ensure all paperwork associated with the position is complete and accurate
