POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF POSITION: Maintenance Specialist
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: VP of Operations
DATE: 05/28/2024
STATUS: Non-Exempt
FUNCTION: Responsible for general maintenance of all Goodwill-
owned facilities.
1. Communicates problems/concerns regarding facilities and/or machinery to VP of Operations.
2. Serves as company trainer on proper and safe operation of large trucks and tow motors.
3. Diagnose, repair and/or suggest appropriate courses of action for maintenance issues at all Goodwill facilities.
4. Communicates with vendors and coordinates repairs/maintenance for Goodwill facilities.
5. Routinely drives trucks and tow motors/forklifts.
6. Responsible for proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
7. Working knowledge of all standard hand and power tools.
8. Working knowledge of all OSHA Procedures, i.e. Lock Out Tag Out.
9. Ability to diagnose and/or repair Goodwill vehicles, i.e. box trucks, maintenance truck and company car.
10. Electrical overhead lamp and switch replacement, running conduit and general maintenance of retail fixtures.
11. General knowledge of plumbing and repair.
12. Working knowledge of a variety of paint and coating types and applications.
13. Orders supplies related to the above-mentioned activities.
14. Salts and keeps Nold and Palmer sidewalks clear of snow during normal working hours.
15. Mows lawn around Warehouse Facility.
16. On-call in emergency situations.
17. Responsible for the creation and implementation of preventive maintenance schedule for all Goodwill facilities.
18. May serve as back-up driver, as needed.
19. Performs other duties assigned by VP of Operations/CEO.

3. Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and written with all staff
4. Complies with all established work rules, policies, procedures and safety rules
5. Represents the organization in a professional and courteous manner
6. Is able to educate stakeholders and community about the entire agency

2-3 years industrial maintenance experience Tow Motor
License Check - valid driver's license and proof of insurability or is able to provide transportation.
Background Checks - The offer of employment will be based on the outcome of the background check
Drug and Alcohol Screen - Must pass a drug and alcohol screen prior to employment. Subject to random testing.
