Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals in Wayne County. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Implement individualized care plans and document individual progress
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals
Experience:
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred
- Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and patient care practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
