Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Shifts Available: Hybrid
Monday & Friday: Remote
Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
As a Billing Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate processing of prescription claims by maintaining third-party insurance settings within the pharmacy adjudication system. You'll conduct thorough testing and documentation to uphold compliance with pharmacy standards and payer requirements. Working within the Network Operations team, you'll analyze third-party programs, investigate and resolve systemic issues related to prescription claims processing, and address interfaces with stores, providers, patients, pricing, and financial impacts.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Receive and implement third-party program contract updates to comply with industry standards, contract agreements, and regulations.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Application Development teams to provide support for system-related issues or enhancements, including defining business scenarios, testing procedures, and analyzing production issues.
- Work cross-functionally within the department to ensure quality assurance in Pharmacy Operations, executing various scenarios affecting data quality and prescription claim processing while providing in-depth analysis of results.
- 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, pharmacy benefits management (PBM), or insurance.
- 1 years of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Pharmacy Technician Experience within the past 5 years.
- Previous experience with business-to-business, interdepartmental, or customer interactions.
- Retail Pharmacy help desk experience.
- Experience with SQL or Access.
- High School Diploma or GED.
