Job Description:

As a Retail Convenience Store Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success and profitability of our headquarters store. You will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates, deli and kitchen staff and ensuring they successfully exceed their sales, customer service, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff.
  • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and other performance metrics for the store.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage supply chain processes, and optimize product assortments.
  • Ensure that all customers of questionable age have been checked for age verification, and that all alcohol and tobacco sales are made to customers of legal age.
  • Complete price surveys and stick readings daily.
  • Understand and comply with environmental requirements including stick readings and Veeder- Root systems.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and operational issues effectively.
  • Analyze financial reports, budgeting, and cost control to achieve financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with other managers and senior management to align on company-wide strategies.
  • Maintain up to date tobacco/liquor certifications per State requirements.
  • Merchandise shelves, displays, and coolers.
  • Execute store promotions in a timely manner.
  • Work cooperatively with sales reps and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Management experience required.
  • Experience in the retail or petroleum convenience store industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial reports and budgeting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
