Woodland Park Public Schools is Hiring a Science Teacher Near Woodland, NJ

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement engaging science lesson plans for students
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Incorporate hands-on experiments and activities to enhance learning
- Conduct research laboratory sessions to provide practical experience
- Provide support to students with special education needs
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate science with math concepts like Geometry and Discrete Math
- Assist students in utilizing library services for research projects
- Offer guidance on proofreading and editing scientific reports

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- State teaching certification in Science
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of various scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science
- Familiarity with math concepts related to science education
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
