In this role, you will be joining a top Long Island retail leasing team with a strong pipeline of business who will provide you with hands on industry experience. You will develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with landlords and tenants. You will receive personalized, intensive training from some of the most experienced commercial real estate brokers in the business. Clients include national, regional, and local retailers and restaurants, along with landlords and developers based on Long Island.

You will navigate through transactions, from site selection to lease negotiation. Knowledge of the local Long Island market is strongly preferred as the teams focus is Long Island Retail. A real estate license is not required to apply, but the candidate will have to obtain a license shortly after hire. Residential brokers looking to make a move into commercial real estate or recent grads are welcome! Tremendous upside growth potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Consult retail businesses and restaurants in finding Long Island locations
• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to promote retail properties and attract potential tenants
• Generate detailed status reports to provide clients with insights into market activity and leasing progress
• Assist in negotiating lease terms such as rental rates and tenant improvements
• Research tenant and listing prospects and maintain databases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Word)
• Extremely organized and detail oriented 
• Personable, comfortable on phone and in-person meetings
• Prior sales experience strongly preferred
