Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant/ CNA , you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementing of activities and programs for our residents. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by promoting social interaction, engagement, and overall well-being.

Duties:
- Assist in planning and implementing a variety of activities and programs to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents
- Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
- Encourage resident participation in activities through effective communication and motivation
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating activities to ensure a well-rounded program
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and engaging environment for residents
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Provide assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) as needed

Qualifications:

-Certified Nursing Assistant
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of memory care, dementia care, and aging issues counseling is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Basic knowledge of caregiving principles and practices
- Familiarity with assisted living regulations and requirements is desirable
- Experience in recreational therapy or event planning is beneficial
