The Winchester Housing Authority is looking for a Part-time (18 hrs/wk) Maintenance Laborer. Applicants must be able to perform a wide range of exterior/interior maintenance of property, including minor electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, grounds maintenance, snow and ice duties and custodial duties. Rotating on call duty. Must be professional, a team player, able to follow instructions, work independently.

Qualifications: Education must include high school diploma or its equivalent.. Work experience in the care and maintenance of buildings and or grounds, is preferable. Preference will be afforded to candidates with working knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC and/or Electrical. Must have experience using power and hand tools, be able to climb ladders and lift moderate to heavy items. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, work in a professional manner with employees and residents of all ages, differing cultures, income levels and educational levels. Must pass a wellness physical, including drug/alcohol, CORI (Criminal Offender Record) screening. Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.52 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Rotating weekends
