Reeds Jewelers is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Wilmington, NC
Primary Responsibilities:
- Exemplify the Reeds Vision, Mission and Core Business Values.
- Manage the maintenance of the General Ledger including reviewing and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations while ensuring the accuracy of the data in compliance with GAAP
- Manage the monthly and annual close process to include the preparation and review of financial statements and other reports
- Provide work direction and management oversight to the accounting team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; career development and growth; and performance management
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual financial audit and periodic bank compliance workpapers
- Recommend and develop policies, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives
- Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial operating results to provide information and guidance to management
- Perform special projects as directed by management
- Conduct business affairs in a legal and ethical manner, building a socially conscious environment

- Four-year Accounting Degree and/or MBA
- Solid technical knowledge of accounting concepts
- CPA license strongly preferred
- Workday experience preferred
- Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Exceptional supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
