Friends Church Willoughby Hills is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Willoughby, OH
Role: Finance Director
Job: Full-time 40hrs a week, Sunday through Thursday ( Saturdays as needed)
Responsibility:
- Commit to doing whatever is necessary in biblical accordance to accomplish the mission and vision of Friends Church.
- Active participation in the planning, implementing, executing, and closing all Buzz Event Initiatives (All church events) at Friends Church.
- Be an active participant in creating opportunities that lead to eternal salvation.
- Commit to helping in the discipleship of believers at Friends Church to help the Family of God grow in their faith.
- Active participant in the shepherding of God’s flock according to 1 Peter Chapter 5.
Area Specific Responsibilities:
- Direct point of contact with Parable, our 3rd Party Accounting Firm, to ensure smooth accounting integrity.
- Oversight of our Tithes and offerings database entry and reporting to Parable, our 3rd Party Accounting Firm.
- Oversight of Bank deposits.
- AP/AR entry and reporting with Parable our 3rd Party Accounting Firm.
- Funding and Oversight of our Bill.com Credit Cards.
- Develop, document, and deploy Friends Church financial policies and procedures.
- Generate and create giving reports from Planning Center, our Church Database.
- Management of HR using Gusto platform.
Skills Desired:
- Excels at and enjoys time-bound tasks, details, and problem-solving.
- Strong written communication.
- Self-motivated and flexible with strong organizational skills.
- Strong Computer / Software Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft ecosystem. Strongest in Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with writing Financial Policies and Procedures
- Proficient in matters of finance. (501c3 or Church finance would be a bonus)

- Under the accountability of the Organizational Team of Elders
- Under the management and direction of the Lead team
