We are seeking Case Managers for various WV counties. As a vital part of our agency, candidates must hold a valid Driver's License, possess a BSW OR a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Related fields include; Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Interpersonal Communication, Human Services, Primary or Secondary Education, Criminal Justice, Board of Regents with an emphasis in Human Service, Gerontology or Family and Consumer Service. Candidates must also demonstrate experience working with children and providing direct services to families. This independent contractor role necessitates a clean background check (fingerprinting) with no history in CPS/APS.
Case Managers play a crucial role in providing courses directly to the families involved in the CPS system. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously. This position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule. **Position Description:**
Case Managers will receive referrals from DHHR/Judge/CPS workers for clients requiring Individualized Parenting and Adult Life Skills Services as part of their case plan. Responsibilities include; providing a direct service in which the client is assisted to develop basic home management skills and social/emotional support networks through hands-on implementation and role modeling. Case Managers also provide direct face-to-face services to improve parental competence and knowledge of discipline, appropriate supervision, encouragement of child care, age-appropriate development, etc. Additionally, transportation services may be required for clients attending drug screens, court appearances, or appointments as requested by the department.
Scheduling is based on client needs, sometimes requiring flexibility to accommodate evenings and weekends. The role entails significant driving, compensated per mile.
**Requirements:**
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess a clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Have a reliable vehicle with insurance
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field
- Professionalism and a willingness to work are essential.
Please note that this position does not have a set schedule; hours are contingent upon client needs and the candidate's availability. If you are unable or unwilling to drive, this role may not be suitable for you.
