Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Wellness Director to lead our wellness program at Wildomar Senior Leisure Community. The Wellness Director will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness program that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our residents
• Coordinate and oversee fitness classes, recreational activities, and educational workshops
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized wellness plans for residents based on their needs and goals
• Provide leadership and guidance to wellness staff, including fitness instructors, activity coordinators, and wellness assistants
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate wellness initiatives into daily operations and programming
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed to meet the evolving needs of our residents
• Serve as a resource and advocate for residents regarding wellness-related concerns and initiatives
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in senior wellness and incorporate new ideas into our program

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in health promotion, recreation therapy, nursing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Certified Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer, or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a wellness-related role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging wellness programs
• Empathy and compassion for the needs of seniors
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to senior wellness programming
