MILLWRIGHT

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright must be PROFICIENT in the following areas:

• Has full knowledge of lock out procedure

• Packs pumps using correct packing material and can demonstrate the ability to pack an allis chambers or similar pump

• Packs soot blowers, i.e., IK300, IK525 OR 69B

• Rebuilds single stage pumps, i.e., Worthington pump

• Performs maintenance and repairs on any company vehicle; this includes changing and setting plugs, condensers, batteries, check and set timing, change oil, grease, etc.

• Changes coupling grid

• Replaces drive belts requiring knowledge of various belts and setting proper tension

• Removes, rebuilds and replaces conveyor rolls

• Makes-up hydraulic hoses that will pressure test

• Sets and aligns pumps and motors including installing sprockets, chains, pulleys and belts

• Uses dial indicator to check for run-out on coupling face

• Uses torque wrench to torque bolts to predetermine settings

• Is knowledgeable about all safety equipment and insists on utilizing it

• Has proven ability to make seal and bearing installations; a written test may be developed for this

• Identifies bolt grades

• Replaces shafts, bearings, belts and motors

• Works on hydraulic equipment

• Removes and replaces pads on paper machine clutch assembly

Requirements:

• Must have 5 years heavy industrial experience or equivalent

• ***Career Readiness Certificate required

*** CRC: Career Readiness Certificate is required to be hired. (Applicant does not have to make a certain score. However, the higher the score, the better.)

Obtaining CRC is as follows:

Step One: Go to the Department of Workforce Services to take a pre-test and be referred to take the test at SEARK. Their address is 1001 S. Tennessee St, Pine Bluff, AR 71601. Their phone number is (870) 534-1920.

Step Two: Call (870) 543-5948 or go to SEARK to set up an appointment to take the test. The test is only administered on Fridays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.73 - $37.30 per hour
