DuPage County Government is Hiring a Project Coordinator Near Wheaton, IL

POSITION SUMMARY

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Project Coordinator within the DuPage County Community Services Department in the Community Development unit. This position is responsible for the organization of project records and overall tracking and reporting of project performance under federal and locally funded grant programs

RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only, and is not a comprehensive listing of all the duties and responsibilities performed by positions in this class.

  • Organizes project records and maintains documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable federal and local regulations and DuPage County policies
  • Provides technical assistance regarding applicability of federal and local regulations and DuPage County policies to sub-grantees, contractors, and/or program participants on a routine level
  • Applies knowledge to determine eligibility of program participants
  • Prepares scopes of work and/or requests for proposals and evaluates responses
  • Tracks overall project performance and assures timeliness of individual compliance activities, which may include inspection of projects and properties
  • Tracks funding for projects e.g. (loans, grants, etc.) and works with and updates databases
  • Reviews sub-grantee and/or contractor payment claims for completeness of documentation
  • Reports periodically on project status to superiors
  • Provides recommendations to superiors for improved procedures and contributes to the development of program direction and implementation
  • Prepares and presents information on programs to employers, community groups, and/or residents
  • Develops some local procedures for project coordination
  • Maintains assigned program databases to ensure accuracy of information and recordkeeping requirements

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Planning or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver’s license.
The preferred candidate will have experience:

  • Knowledge of basic real estate documents and basic construction practices preferred.
A pre-employment background check is required.
