ROLE SUMMARY

Have a passion for coaching? Join our awesome swim family! The Swim Instructor position at
Swimming Simply is the most important role within our company. The Swim Instructor will be responsible for conducting private and semi-private swim lessons for students of various ages and skill levels. We want team members who know how to teach swimming but are also passionate about coaching swimmers to do better -- they encourage, cheer and demonstrate high-energy to their swimmers.

Swimming Simply was started by a passionate swimmer and mother in the Denver area who noticed a gap in swim offerings. While there were plenty of opportunities in her area for young children to learn to swim and a few very competitive swim teams for school-age children there was very little offered for kids who can swim but need support with stroke development and an opportunity to learn to love the water. In addition, there was next to nothing available for adults learning to swim or looking for year round swim exercise programs. Swimming Simply was born to help fill these gaps and offer programming for children and adults who were ready to take their swimming abilities to the next level.

WORK LOCATION

Swim Otters at Swimming Simply - 3974 Youngfield Street, Wheat Ridge, CO

HOURS

Saturdays: 8am-4pm

This is a non-exempt, part time position

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

● Teach swimming skills in a fun & positive manner
● Ensure swimmer safety at all times
● Provide families with individualized feedback on their swimmers & update student progress reports
● Maintain proper equipment to ensure timely class start times
● Consult with Supervisor as needed
● Maintain proper dress code

HIGHLY PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of swimming and ability to teach a variety of groups and levels
• 1-2 years of experience coaching or teaching children to swim
• Current CPR & First Aid certification
• Current Lifeguard certification
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight
Must be able to pass a criminal background chec

COMPENSATION

$20-$25/hour, depending on experience

Bonuses available, depending on performance of the company

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
