Anansys Staffing is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Wetumpka, AL

JOB SCOPEThis position reports to the Senior Maintenance Manager and is responsible for assisting with the management of maintenance and safety operations. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of operations in support of company facilities utilities, structures, manufacturing equipment, company vehicle fleet, material handling equipment, hazardous waste management, security and fire suppression systems, and pest management. Supports company safety policies and procedures, employee safety training, adherence, and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory safety guidelines.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment or related maintenance experience is required, familiarity with Safe Quality Food (SQF) quality standards would be beneficial.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system breakdowns. Familiarity with PLC's and Robotics a required.
  • Experience with powered lift equipment repair and maintenance is desired.
  • Ability to operate hand, power, and specialized tools to adjust, calibrate and fabricate parts for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Ability to use Test equipment for troubleshooting such as clamp on ammeters and multimeters.
  • Experience with 480 Volt 3Phase electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform Mig, Tig & Arc Welding to fabricate repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics (Electrical and Pneumatic).
  • Must be well versed in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Windows and Office Professional software and understanding database and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.
  • Ability to service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, and transmission systems. Ability to inspect and assess the functionality of production-related equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred; Ability to work independently under general supervision; Availability to work a varied schedule as required. Possess good time management skills.
  • Physical requirements include frequent walking, the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, lift and manipulate heavy equipment, twist, and kneel as needed. Ability to operate and work at heights on a scissor lift or high ladder.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Essential Job Functions
  • Performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repairs of building components, production systems and equipment, and ancillary areas.
  • Performs preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance. Carries out the assigned daily, weekly, and monthly duties of the company preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Maintains company vehicle fleet and material handling equipment in an operational state of readiness.
  • Install new equipment or machines needed for production or maintenance support.
  • Monitors maintenance and safety activities to ensure activities are valued-added, efficient, and necessary; ensures personnel safety receives adequate attention.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules, requirements, and standards; monitor contract maintenance and various facilities support service functions.
  • Monitors effective pest management.
  • Prepares and submits maintenance reports.
  • Conducts routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Communicates with the production team.
  • Maintains clean work area.

  • Statistics indicate a high degree of emphasis is placed on safety: safe work habits are developed in subordinates and followed by contract maintenance and vendor services personnel; a worker-friendly environment is always maintained; employee safety receives sustained attention and there are no accidents due to unsafe conditions.
  • High quality standards are emphasized: decreased waste due to scrap, re-work, abuse and conservation of efforts; employee creativity and involvement are solicited and encouraged; adheres to the concept of constant improvement in the quality of their performances.
  • Maintenance and safety scheduling, planning and work processes indicate a sound understanding of safe food processing, food service equipment manufacturing, industry and safety standards, budget restrictions and cost controls, production capabilities, facility capabilities, and value-added production methods.
  • Maintenance and safety programs operate efficiently: preventative maintenance schedules are met or exceeded; production and support equipment problems are immediately evaluated, and assistance is provided for their rapid solution; employee safety incident reviews and process and equipment hazard assessments are performed, and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to support Optimal equipment up time.
  • Shares responsibility for self-development; supports a work environment where co-workers with divergent views are welcomed and solicited; creates an environment where creativity in maintenance and safety support and/or enhancement is expected and rewarded; appreciates and supports the operating philosophy of the Company.
  • Manufacturing equipment and facilities repair stock and materials inventories are established and maintained at a minimum level in support of "lean thinking" philosophy and budget restrictions.
  • Production schedules are not hampered by faulty machinery or poor housekeeping; machinery and equipment are maintained in a fully operational condition; emphasis is placed on preventive maintenance; work areas are free from clutter.
  • Company property is protected: ensures security necessary to prevent loss from abuse, carelessness, or theft; ensures continuity of fire prevention procedures and fire suppression support equipment.
  • All maintenance paperwork, records, and reports are completed accurately and submitted in time to meet any scheduling deadline.
  • Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Internal Audits and Product Quality at all times.
  • Participates in root cause problem solving & troubleshooting issues.
  • Works cross-functionally with production associates to provide effective maintenance support and to protect food safety and quality.
  • Identifies potential cost savings and cost avoidance measures.
