Job Overview: The VP, of Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of operations at two manufacturing sites while meeting production, quality, safety, and process improvement goals. This roleworks primarily in West Nyack and reports directly to the founders of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Execution

· Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.

· Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

· Lead the development and execution of short-term and long-term operational plans.

Team Leadership and Development

· Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Recruit, train, and develop talent within the operations department to build a high-performing team.

· Set clear goals and performance expectations, and regularly assess and provide feedback to team members.

Production Management

· Oversee all aspects of production and execution.

· Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Continuously evaluate and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

· Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

· Ensure processes are in place to maintain robust quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.

· Monitor and address any issues related to product quality, safety, and compliance.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational performance.

Budgeting and Financial Management

· Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support operational goals.

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Safety and Environmental Compliance

· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

· Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.

· Promote sustainability initiatives to minimize the company's environmental impact.

Project Management

· Able to identify and manage capital: new equipment and infrastructure projects.

· Working understanding of site utilities. Able to converse and challenge vendors throughout the project process.

· Keen ability to follow through on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience (typically 10 years) in food operations management, preferably within the baking industry.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.

· Excellent problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

· In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements.

· Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and performance metrics.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration a plus.

Pay:

The pay range for this position is $180,000-$200,000 plus discretionary bonus based on performance.
