DescriptionABOUT THE ROLEHolcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction materials in the United States, has an
immediate opening for a Equipment Operator, to support operations at our Duquesne Slag Plant in
West Miffling, Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for operating loaders, dozers, excavators and haul
trucks or other large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone
and/or asphalt materials. It also conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in
a clean and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates a variety of heavy and light equipment and machines to create finished products.
- May feed materials into machines, and transfer material from one location to another
- Conducts pre and post-trip inspections, identifying malfunctions and items in need of repair
- May perform light maintenance and housekeeping such mowing property
- Assists in keeping the work area clean and organized
- Attends and participates in safety toolbox talks, and other employee meetings/events
- Reports near misses or other safety incidents or accidents promptly, and in accordance
- Adheres to all environmental and safety regulations
- May act as backup scale operator as needed
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience operating a haul truck, dozer, excavator bobcat and forklift
- Experience in light maintenance to include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
- Strong safety-orientation
- Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual preferred.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved
- Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable
